INNOZH supports petfood and petcare companies in validating their products through rigorous functional studies, conducted in real-life conditions with pet owners. We assess the impact of additives, nutritional supplements, and complete formulations on objective, behavioural and biological criteria.

What we test

Our functional studies evaluate physiological and behavioural effects across key health areas:

  • Skin & Coat : skin quality, coat condition, atopic dermatitis, seborrhoea, skin microbiota
  • Oral hygiene : halitosis, dental plaque, tartar, periodontal disease, oral microbiota

Each study can include biological analyses (blood, faeces, hair, saliva) and owner-reported assessments.

How a study works

Needs assessment : we start with an in-depth discussion to understand your product, objectives and expected outcomes.

Study design : we define the number of animals, study duration and key indicators together.

Protocol development : INNOZH drafts a scientific protocol aligned with regulatory standards.

Panel monitoring : our team coordinates with pet owners and ensures veterinary follow-up at key study milestones.

Laboratory analyses : samples are analysed to verify composition and assess biological markers.

Final report : results are statistically analysed and delivered in a clear, actionable report suitable for regulatory files, publications or technical decisions.

Key figures:

Typical duration : 3 months

At-home panel : animals stay with their owners throughout the study
